Roberts Vardy Associates Ltd are currently commissioned by Home Group to provide project management services for their Fire Door Inspection Survey Project. The commission has included the scope and design specification for fire inspection surveys to ensure compliance with the Regulatory
Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, BS9999 and BS8214.

The commission has been further extended with Roberts Vardy Associates designing and providing bespoke mobile data collection software to produce a bespoke asset register and attributes of all fire doors across all tenures. The software also identifies non-compliant doors with required actions.

Home Group’s Integrator asset management system is being further developed by Roberts Vardy Associates and IHS to enable detailed servicing and compliance information to be held. Resultant actions and specifications for works are supplied by consultant’s which are seamlessly imported into
Integrator where workflow management monitors completion of works.

Roberts Vardy Associates Ltd are currently commissioned by Home Group to provide project management services for their High-Risk Residential Buildings Fire Safety Survey Project. The commission has included the scope and design specification for passive fire surveys to identify breaches in communal building compartmentation across all tenures.

Home Group’s Integrator asset management system has been further developed by Roberts Vardy Associates and HIS to give a mobile data collection tool to capture compartment breaches (with voice recognition software enabled) and photographic evidence. Resultant actions and specifications for works are supplied by consultant’s which are seamlessly imported into Integrator where workflow management monitors completion of works.

Home Group June 2018 – April 2019

Roberts Vardy Associates were appointed by Home Group to provide project management services for a 100% stock condition survey project across it’s Scotland general needs property portfolio of 4000 properties and 500 communal blocks.

The commission included the scope and design specification, tender documentation and contractor selection & appointment. The scope included condition of planned maintenance components,Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS), RdSAP with assessment against EESSH.

The commission was later expanded to include consultancy and support for the development and implementation of a new asset management database. The Integrator asset management software was supplied by Integrated Housing Solutions IHS with Roberts Vardy Associates  completing the survey design and system setup. A review of lifecycles and component replacement costs was also undertaken.

Following a successful pilot with surveyor training given by Roberts Vardy Associates the survey data was collected by surveyors using Notus mobile software supplied by IHS with the survey design, setup and project management completed by Roberts Vardy Associates.

Following completion of the surveys data validation was 98% accurate (confirmed by third party audit). Roberts Vardy Associates were asked to review survey data and carry out analysis of SHQS and EESSH failures. This assisted Home Group in identifying work packages to resolve these failures.

LiveSmart Stock Condition & RdSAP Surveys

Roberts Vardy Associates were commissioned by Home Group to project manage and produce a stock condition scope and design specification for 350 LiveSmart property surveys across Leeds and Sheffield. The scope not only included condition of planned maintenance components but also the decent homes standard, HHSRS, RdSAP and a comprehensive section on white goods and other furnishings. A review of lifecycles and component replacement costs was also undertaken.

The survey data was collected by surveyors using Notus mobile software supplied by Integrated Housing Solutions with the survey design, setup and project management carried out by Roberts Vardy Associates.

Following completion of the surveys Roberts Vardy Associates were asked to review survey data and carry out analysis of Decent Homes and HHSRS failures. This assisted Home Group in identifying work packages to resolve Decent Homes and HHSRS failures. Home Group has since made the decision to dispose of this portfolio.

A review of lifecycles and component replacement costs was also undertaken.

Following completion of the surveys Roberts Vardy Associates were asked to review survey data and carry out analysis of Decent Homes and HHSRS failures. This assisted Habinteg in producing work packages to resolve Decent Homes and HHSRS failures.

Roberts Vardy Associates Ltd were appointed survey workstream project managers in December 2016 (following successful  completion of the General Needs Stock Survey project) to project manage the asset management work stream until its completion in May 2018. This ultimately resulted in managing the stock condition survey of the complete leasehold portfolio consisting of approx. 6500 properties and 800 communal blocks.

The commission included:

  • Collaborate as part of a larger project team reviewing all aspects of leasehold portfolio
  • Produce survey design and tender documentation
  • Procurement, selection and appointment of surveying contractor
  • Development and set up of components, lifecycles and costs for Integrator Asset Management System
  • Further Develop component costs using BCIS rates with regional variations

  • Surveying training
